Library offers on-demand video service

The St. Johns County Public Library System is launching MyLibraryDV, a new on-demand video service that transforms local library cards into virtual movie tickets according to an announcement received from Library Director Debra Rhodes-Gibson by Historic City News.

This exciting new service is now available FREE of charge to all St. Johns County Public Library card holders in good standing.

MyLibraryDV is a unique video-on-demand service made available by the St. Johns County Public Library System. Library users can download from a collection of movies and lifestyle programs anytime and anywhere, as long as they have a broadband Internet connection.

MyLibraryDV include classic, independent and foreign films, as well as lifestyle, health, travel and cooking programs. The new on-demand video service also includes PBS children’s programs, special library programs and more.

All you need to enjoy this FREE service is a library account in good standing and high speed Internet access. To begin using MyLibraryDV, visit the library’s website at www.sjcpls.org/mylibrarydv.aspx to install the software and begin watching videos on demand. To complete the sign-up process, a valid library card number will be required.

Library Director Debra Rhodes Gibson is pleased to make this innovative program available to St. Johns County residents free of charge. “As libraries continue to expand to meet the changing needs of our patrons, we are improving technology and increasing access to mass media,” she said. “Offering a free video on demand service meets a core request of many of our patrons.”
