The St. Augustine Art Association informed local Historic City News reporters that they will hold five summer art camp sessions starting next month.
Weekly morning sessions explore painting, drawing, fabrications and mixed media projects, designed for students in grade 1 through 6. Students ages 12 and up will enjoy an additional session scheduled for the afternoon.
“Kids are naturally creative, so we try to instill a love for art with engaging projects that are based in sound art principles,” said Executive Director Elyse Brady, who coordinates the program. “It’s always uplifting to see a room full of children plugged into art, not gadgets.”
Last call to register for the following camps:
- “CAMPHIBIANS” – JUNE 8-12, 9am-Noon (grades 1-6)
