St Johns County State Attorney R. J. Larizza reported to Historic City News in St Augustine that Johnny Lawrence Williams, Jr. has been indicted by the St Johns County Grand Jury with eleven felony counts stemming from the April 5th shooting deaths of Jamie Antoinette Wilson and Keiwuan Murray.
The local Grand Jury convened May 2, 2016, and returned indictments charging Williams with two counts of first-degree premeditated murder with a firearm, three counts of attempted first-degree murder, grand theft of a motor vehicle, carjacking with a firearm, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and two counts of child abuse.
“Due to the fact that this is an ongoing case, our office will have no further comment at this time,” Larizza told local reporters.
The St. Johns County Spring Term 2016 Grand Jury found the following information per count:
COUNT I:
On or about April 5, 2016, Johnny Lawrence Williams, Jr. did unlawfully kill and murder Jamie Antoinette Wilson by shooting her with a firearm from a premeditated design to affect her death and in the course of committing the murder he actually possessed and discharged a firearm, and as a result of the discharge, the death of Jamie Antoinette Wilson did occur contrary to Florida Statutes 782.04(1)(a)1, and 775.087(1) and (2). COUNT II:
On or about April 5, 2016, Johnny Lawrence Williams, Jr. did unlawfully kill and murder Keiwuan Murray, by shooting him with a firearm from a premeditated design to effect his death and in the course of committing the murder he actually possessed and discharged a firearm, and as a result of the discharge, the death of Keiwuan Murray did occur contrary to Florida Statutes 782.04(1)(a)1, and 775.087(1) and (2). COUNT III:
On or about April 5, 2016, Johnny Lawrence Williams, Jr. did attempt to kill and murder Brittany Janay Tobler, by shooting at her with a firearm from a premeditated design to affect her death and he actually possessed and discharged a firearm, and as a result of the discharge, great bodily harm was inflicted upon Brittany Janay Tobler, contrary to Florida Statutes 782.04(1)(a)1, and 775.087(1) and (2) and 777.04(1). COUNT IV:
On or about April 5, 2016, Johnny Lawrence Williams, Jr. did attempt to kill and murder Edward Harris, by shooting at him with a firearm from a premeditated design to affect his death and he actually possessed and discharged a firearm, contrary to Florida Statutes 782.04(1)(a)1, and 775.087(1) and (2) and 777.04(1). COUNT V:
On or about April 5, 2016, Johnny Lawrence Williams, Jr. did attempt to kill and murder Thomas Hall, by shooting at him with a firearm from a premeditated design to affect his death and he actually possessed and discharged a firearm, contrary to Florida Statutes 782.04(1)(a)1, and 775.087(1) and (2) and 777.04(1). COUNT VI:
On or about April 5, 2016, Johnny Lawrence Williams, Jr. did take a motor vehicle from the person or custody of Jamie Antoinette Wilson, with intent to either permanently or temporarily deprive Jamie Antoinette Wilson or the owner of the motor vehicle, or to appropriate the motor vehicle to his own use or to the use of any person not entitled to the use of the motor vehicle, contrary to Florida Statutes 812.014(l) and (2)(c) 6 (3rd Degree Felony)
COUNT VII:
On or about April 5, 2016, Johnny Lawrence Williams, Jr. did take a motor vehicle from the person or custody of Kentrell Floyd, with intent to either permanently or temporarily deprive Kentrell Floyd or the owner of the motor vehicle, or to appropriate the motor vehicle to his own use or to the use of any person not entitled to the use of the motor vehicle, contrary to Florida Statutes 812.014(l) and (2)(c) 6 (3rd Degree Felony)
COUNT VIII:
On or about April 5, 2016, Johnny Lawrence Williams, Jr. did having previously been convicted of a felony in the State of Florida, own or have in his care, custody, actual possession or control a firearm, contrary to Florida Statute 790.23(l)(a) and 775.087(2) (2″d Degree Felony)
COUNT IX:
On or about April 5, 2016, Johnny Lawrence Williams, Jr. did having previously been convicted of a felony in the State of Florida, own or have in his care, custody, actual possession or control a firearm, contrary to Florida Statute 790.23(l)(a) and 775.087(2) (2″d Degree Felony)
COUNT X:
On or about April 5, 2016, Johnny Lawrence Williams, Jr. did murder Jamie Antoinette Wilson in the presence of a child, contrary to Florida Statute 827.03(2)(c) (3rd Degree Felony)
COUNT XI:
On or about April 5, 2016, Johnny Lawrence Williams, Jr. did murder Jamie Antoinette Wilson in the presence of a child, contrary to Florida Statute 827.03(2)(c) (3rd Degree Felony)
