Out-of-control driver crashes into multiple cars before stopped

St Johns County sheriff’s deputies have informed local Historic City News reporters that they have cleared the scene at SR-207 and Holmes Boulevard where earlier this evening a female driver eventually crashed after leaving a trail of damage in her wake.

Law enforcement had been seeking the whereabouts of the driver to check on her welfare after witnesses reported that she has been exhibiting abnormal behaviors.

Deputies spotted the driver reportedly driving recklessly in the area of SR-312 and US-1 South and attempted to stop her. Before she came to a final stop, the driver crashed into several vehicles.

The driver has been transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. Two juveniles, believed to be related, were located inside the vehicle. They were treated at the scene by St Johns County Fire Rescue along with occupants of the other vehicles. No life-threatening injuries were reported.
