The Nights of Lights starts in Saint Augustine Beach this Friday November 18th. Historic City News readers are invited to bring the whole family out for an evening of fun and holiday cheer at the St Johns County Pier Park 350 A1A Beach Boulevard in beautiful Saint Augustine Beach.
The event is free to the public and is full of family fun including photos with Santa, holiday music, a bounce house, Sparky the Clown, balloon twisting, face painting and some very special Christmas shopping opportunities with several local art and craft vendors.
“Our celebration is perfect opening act for the large Nights of Lights kick off downtown on Saturday night,” said Bill Jones, president of the local Civic Association. “It’s your chance to shop for family and friends and give them something uniquely St Augustine.”
The event runs from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and the highlight of Surf Illumination will be the lighting of our community Christmas tree at dusk, approximately 5:45 p.m. The weather forecast is perfect with temperatures in the mid 60’s so bring the whole family.
Surf Illumination is presented each year by The St Augustine Beach Civic Association in conjunction with St Johns County Parks and Recreation and our sponsors; Longstreet Auto, FBT Mortgage, Homestar-Pacetti Realty, Clark Appliances, TD Bank, Camping World RV, Diane’s Natural Market, The Pioneer Barn at Fort Menendez, Fair Choice Web Hosting and Sax Taxi and Shuttle.
