Historic City News was notified by Florida Department of Transportation Public Information Officer, Monica R. Reifeiss, that traffic will be impacted at the following
St Augustine and St Johns County locations where roadwork is being conducted.
Be alert to lane closures and temporary detours, as well as increased congestion in these areas. FDOT employees and contractors will be working on the roadways and need your full attention.
A1A – Matanzas Inlet Bridge
Southbound and northbound lanes are narrowed and shifted through spring 2018 for St. Johns County water utility work.
A1A/San Marco Avenue – Picolata Road to Cincinnati Avenue
Nighttime southbound and northbound periodic lane closures, including side roads, Monday through Friday from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. through spring 2018 for City of St. Augustine water utility work.
I-95 – Southbound Off-Ramp to State Road 207
Nighttime left turn lane closure Sunday beginning at 9 p.m. and reopening at 5 a.m. for asphalt repairs on the off-ramp.
I-95 – one mile north of U.S. 1 (Exit 298)
Nighttime southbound lane closures just before the railroad overpass Sunday from midnight to 5 a.m. and nighttime northbound lane closures Monday from midnight to 5 a.m. for asphalt repairs.
I-95 – between State Road 207 and State Road 206
Nighttime northbound shoulder closures near mile marker 308 Monday from 9 p.m.. to 5 a.m. for asphalt repairs.
I-95 – North of State Road 207
Nighttime northbound shoulder closures near mile marker 312 Monday from 9 p.m.. to 5 a.m. for asphalt repairs. St. Johns Parkway/County Road 2209- south of Durbin Park to North Arabella Way (FIN 431418-2-52-01 & 431418-2-01)
Full road closure Friday, February 16 at 9 p.m. through Saturday, February 17 at 6 a.m. for pedestrian bridge installation over St. Johns Parkway/County Road 2209. Southbound St. Johns Parkway/County Road 2209 traffic will detour east on Russell Sampson Road and west on County Road 210. Northbound traffic will detour east on County Road 210 and north on Russell Sampson Road. If necessary work isn’t completed Friday, February 16, the detour will be implement again Saturday, February 17 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.
St. Johns Parkway/County Road 2209 – North Arabella Way to Russell Sampson Road (FIN 431418-2-52-01 & 431418-2-01)
Lanes are reduced to one way in each direction until the completion of the State Road 9B construction project scheduled for summer 2018.
State Road 13 – North of RiverTown Boulevard
Daytime lane closures with flaggers Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. for turn lane construction and utility installation.
State Road 207 – Hastings
Daytime lane closures Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. for pipe cleaning and inspections.
