Public Information Officer Debra Johnson told Historic City News reporters that a Flagler County Sheriff’s deputy escaped serious injury early this morning after his patrol car rolled over while he was enroute to a call.
Deputy David Moore was traveling to the Daytona North area around 12:15 a.m. in response to a report of a prowler. Deputy Moore was driving northbound on County Road 205, his patrol vehicle veered across the ongoing traffic lane onto the shoulder and continued sideways, according to initial reports. When the vehicle returned to the pavement, it rolled over and landed on its tires.
The deputy was transported to Florida Hospital Flagler where he was treated and released.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
