Armed robbery occurs at self-serve car wash

Public Information Officer Debra Johnson told local St. Johns County reporters with Historic City News that deputies in Flagler County are investigating an armed robbery that took place today at a car wash on Palm Coast Parkway in Palm Coast.

Deputies responded to the Parkway Self-Storage and Car Wash at 4860 Palm Coast Parkway Northeast around 1:37 p.m. after a customer reported he had just been robbed at gun point.

The robber is described as an unshaven, white male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses. The suspect also had a piercing stud just under his lower lip. The victim told deputies the man fled on foot eastbound from the car wash.
