Publicist Jane Sims, announced to local Historic City News reporters that Tale Tellers of St. Augustine will present “The Lady was a Spy” featuring the stories of four historic women; embroiled in acts of espionage from the Civil War era into the 20th Century.
“Theater of the Mind: Storytelling” is an ongoing series of storytelling programs; now in their fourteenth year. Presentations feature seasoned, performing members of Tale Tellers of St. Augustine.
“The Lady was a Spy” will be presented January 18th, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the San Marco Theater in Uptown St. Augustine; located at 28 San Marco Avenue across from Ripley’s Believe-It-Or-Not Museum. Free off-street parking is available in the museum lot.
The tellers for this program are Margaret Kaler, Nancy Avera, “MJ” Harris and Kaye Byrnes.

The Tale Tellers of St. Augustine is a non-profit organization of cultural and educational orientation that was founded in 1993 to promote the art and perpetuate the tradition of storytelling. The guild is dedicated to community enrichment and promotes the art of storytelling by sponsoring its membership in performance. Guests and new members are invited to meetings held at 7:00 p.m. on the second Monday of every month — except July.
