Sacha Martin reported to Historic City News that there are new rules by the St. Johns River Water Management District effective this month changing how homeowners, commercial owners and planned developments care for their landscapes with water.
Learn when you can– and cannot– water depending on your address plus new low volume irrigation techniques to save water and have more efficient, cost effective irrigation systems.
Joe Sewards, County Horticulture Agent, accompanied by native plant expert, Walter Kelly, along with John Kordic, of Florida Landscape & Nursery, who is working with Agriculture Center research to install hybrid drip irrigation systems, will present the new regulations and answer questions.
They will also mention new fertilizing regulations and upcoming storm water runoff regulations changes.
This presentation is scheduled for Monday, March 9th at 7:00 p.m. at the North Shores Improvement Association Community Center, 120 Meadow Avenue, one block west of Coastal Highway next to the Marine Rescue Building.
