Man charged in death of Shae Burchfield
Historic City News has been notified that at about 4:30 p.m. this afternoon, 51 year-old Frederick James Andrews was arrested in connection with the vehicular homicide of 18 year-old Shae Lynn Burchfield of St. Augustine.
450th Improvement Club launched
Historic City News learned this week that residents who would like to help the community prepare for the celebration of our 450th Anniversary by undertaking improvements, either inside or outside their home or business, can participate and be recognized in the 450th Improvement Club.
Red, White and Blue Day

Fireworks over the Matanzas is Monday
Due to wildfires throughout northeast Florida, many city and county governments have banned both personal and professional fireworks this year, however, Historic City News is happy to announce that St. Augustine’s fireworks display will go forward Monday night.
Road repairs and maintenance planned
Laurie Sanderson reported the following St. Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning tomorrow morning and continuing through July 8th.
