Avenue “D” nears completion

Won’t be long now.

The finishing touches are being completed to Avenue “D” Extension at it’s new intersection with U.S. 1 North; across from the Madeira sales office.

Railroad arms are in place and lanes are striped and ready for the traffic that will soon begin utilizing this road as the main entrance to the county government complex. The final proposal calls for the Lewis Speedway railroad crossing to be closed along with all courthouse traffic previously directed via Avenue “A”.

Major construction is underway on the north end of the county complex as offices for the courthouse and administrative county offices are shuffled. Some parking areas are closed as well.
