The St. Johns County Division of Animal Control announced that a Pet Adoption Event is scheduled for April 19 at the Starbucks on County Road 210.
The Sertoma Club Thrift Shop off U.S. 1 South will donate all its proceeds from April 27 to the Pet Center.
According to Friday’s update letter from County Administrator Michael D. Wanchick, the County Pet Center received $1,400 in donations during the month of March. Wanchick wrote, “The new exercise fenced area has been completed and the volunteer program is running great.”
Animal Control Field Services responded to 513 complaints and removed 184 animals during March.
The Pet Center reports that they adopted out a total of 39 animals and reunited an additional 39 animals with their owners.
