In an effort to ensure voters receive their sample ballot for the General Election, the Supervisor of Elections Office must have the voter’s up-to-date address no later than Tuesday, September 30, 2008, according to an announcement from Jenny O’Dell received by Historic City News last week.
Sample ballots for the November 4, 2008 General Elections will be mailed to all St. Johns County voters on Tuesday, October 14, 2008.
Voters are encouraged to verify their address, and if their voter record requires a change, contact the Supervisor of Elections Office at (904) 823-2238.
Sample ballots are prepared in accordance with Florida Statutes, Section 101.20, and provided by the St. Johns County Supervisor of Elections. Sample ballots are for informational purposes only, and may be used as a guide for voting.
If a voter does not receive a sample ballot and has not requested an absentee ballot, please contact the Supervisor of Elections office to verify your voter record as correct.
Having the correct voter information on record is important. Polling locations and contest are determined by the voters residence address.
The Supervisor of Elections encourages all voters to review and familiarize themselves with their sample ballots prior to Election Day.
Sample ballots will soon be available online at www.sjcvotes.us and will be published in local St. Johns County news publications.
