According to an announcement from Senior Vice President Suzanne Brown received by Historic City Media this morning, Florida Capital Bank will be closing its location at 1700 US 1 South on Friday, July 18th.
This announcement surprised some customers since the bank location was only established in 2005 on the site of the former Long John Silvers restaurant.
“All accounts currently maintained at this banking office will be transferred to our new flagship St. Augustine Beach office currently under construction†said Brown.
Florida Capital Bank of Northeast Florida currently maintains a St. Augustine Beach banking office at 1017 A1A Beach Blvd. The new bank is to be located at 3970 A1A South, according to the release.
Any person wishing to comment on this proposed branch closing may file comments with the director for district licensing at OCC Southern District Office, 500 N. Akard St., Suite 1600, Dallas, TX 75201. Comments should be received by the proposed closing date.
