Reopening of St. Augustine Airport

Cindy Hollingsworth informed Historic City News on behalf of the Airport Authority that the following conditions exist as of 5:00 p.m. this evening.

The airport will reopen at 5:00 p.m. tonight. The Tower will remain closed until 7:00 a.m. Saturday morning. We still have a lot of standing water so please be carefully and use good judgment.

FPL is staged on the new T-Hangar ramp and using Estrella Ave – use due caution and please give way to their vehicles.

For those tenants who have relocated their airplanes into the new hangar development, we would appreciate leaving them until Monday.

The Airport Authority will have Maintenance staff working through the weekend from 7:00am – 3:30pm. For emergencies you may reach them at 904-814-6664.

The airport appears in good shape – we survived this one!
