Historic City News has learned that downtown St. Augustine finally has a produce & crafts market according to a report from Cash S. McVay.
Sunday Village Market at the Dow Museum will start this coming Sunday, December 7th.
The market is located inside the Dow Museum of Historic Houses at the corner of Cordova & Bridge Streets and will be open, weekly, from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
McVay says, “Don’t worry, there will be plenty of free parking.”
The market will include fresh produce, honey & citrus, bread, sauces, plants, cooked food, rum cakes, coffee, teas, art, jewelry, pottery, cards, antiques, music and more.
“Seems like we have been waiting an eternity for a market to open up in the Downtown area. Let’s make it a success so that the market becomes a permanent community asset.” said McVay.
Historic City News has recently reported that McVay is helping to spearhead “CitySprout”; a non-profit, grassroots movement to generate ideas, organize people & action plans to implement food and gardening programs throughout the neighborhoods of St. Augustine. Please spread the word and let’s support this market.
