The Christmas and New Years schedules for various St. Johns County facilities are listed below:
ST. JOHNS COUNTY:
All departments of the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners will be closed Thursday and Friday, December 24 and 25. Offices will also be closed on Friday, January 1, 2010.
Library
All branches of the St. Johns County Public Library System will close at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, December 23, and will remain closed through Sunday, December 27. For New Years, all library branches will close at 6:00 pm on Thursday, December 31, and will remain through Sunday, January 3. Normal hours will resume on Monday, January 4, 2010.
Solid Waste
No garbage, recycling or yard debris will be collected on Christmas Day or New Years Day. Collections normally made on Fridays will be collected on Saturday both weeks.
Winter Wonderland
Winter Wonderland at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre will be open throughout the holiday season. Daily hours are 12:00 noon to 10:00 pm daily, with these special holiday hours:
• Christmas Eve 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm
• Christmas Day 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm
• New Years Eve 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm
• New Years Day 12:00 noon to 10:00 pm

Pet Center
The St. Johns County Pet Center will be closed on Thursday and Friday, December 24 and 25, with normal hours of 9:00 am to 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 26. The Pet Center will also be closed Friday, January 1, with normal hours resuming Saturday, January 2, 2010.
CITY OF ST. AUGUSTINE:
All city offices will be closed Thursday, December 24, Christmas Eve and Friday, December 25, Christmas Day to re-open at 7:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. Monday, December 28.
The City of St. Augustine’s pickup of solid waste and recyclables has been modified for the upcoming holidays.
There will be no pickup of either solid waste or recyclables Christmas Day, Friday, December 25, and New Year’s Day, January 1. Both of Friday’s pickups will occur on Saturday, December 26 and January 2.
