City Sprout events in April

Cash McVay challenges all Historic City News readers to “Be the Seed, Sprout a Garden” and reported upcoming City Sprout events.

Saturday, April 18 – CitySprout will have a table at the Able School
Earth-Day celebration (7 Williams St). We’ll be selling CitySprout t-shirts
to raise money for our first community garden in St. Augustine.

Saturday, April 25 – The 5th Annual Love your Mother Couture with a Cause
Fashion Show will begin at 7:00pm at the The St. Johns County Convention
Center in World Golf Village. CitySprout has been selected to be part of
this eco-friendly fashion show that is produced by Panache. The event will
also raise money for other important local environmental causes. Purchase
general admission tickets for $25 and VIP’s tickets for $35 at either
Panache Salon locations. All proceeds will be donated to help clean up the
EARTH! Do your part by attending and have a ball!

Monday, April 27- The City Commission meets to vote for our first community
garden in St. Augustine. The meeting will begin at 5:00 in The Alcazar Room
(City Hall,75 King St). We’re scheduled to give a presentation seeking use
approval to create the Lincolnville Community Garden. While the City has
been very supportive in our efforts to date, it would be great to come out
and show your support.
