Kyle Rouse reported to Historic City News that the American Red Cross is sponsoring a Heroes Celebration Luncheon featuring Jeff Kottkamp, Lt. Governor of Florida.
The event is scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, August 28, 2009 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and will be held at Carrabba’s Restaurant, 155 SR 312 West, St. Augustine, Florida near the corner of 312 and US 1.
Also scheduled to attend will be State Representative Bill Proctor, State Attorney RJ Larizza and School Board Member Bev Slough.
The goal of the Red Cross Heroes Campaign is to raise a minimum of $25,000 to be used for St. Johns County residents and to increase the visibility of the organization.
With the hurricane season approaching and our coastal geography, disaster relief and assistance to our local families could be monumental.
Your help enables the American Red Cross to support vital services throughout the community.
Heroes agreed to raise at least $500 for the American Red Cross in St. Johns County. The funds were raised in a variety of ways and the Red Cross gave examples of possible methods to the participants. Some volunteers worked alone while others choose to involve their company, civic club, church, or school in the fund raising efforts.
The Heroes Campaign will end with this celebration luncheon honoring our Heroes.
Attendees of the celebration luncheon will make a minimum tax deductible contribution of $100 in support of the American Red Cross. Personal & corporate contributions are accepted.
To RSVP or for more information, please call Kyle Rouse at (904) 303-2131 or mail your contribution to:
