Independence Day Holiday 2009

Historic City News has received notices from several government offices regarding their closing schedule this week.

All departments of the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners will be closed Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day.

All branches of the St. Johns County Public Library System will be closed Friday and Saturday, July 3 and 4, for the holiday.

Household garbage, yard waste and recycling will be collected on its normal schedule.

Normal business hours will resume at all county offices and libraries on Monday, July 6.

All offices of the City of St. Augustine will be closed Friday, July 3, in observance of Independence Day, July 4 to re-open at 7:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. Monday, July, 6.

All solid waste and recycling pickups both residential and commercial will be as regularly scheduled on both Friday and Saturday.

The St. Johns County Supervisor of Elections Office will be closed Friday, July 3, 2009 in observance of Independence Day. Normal business hours will resume Monday, July 6, 2009.
