The Southeast Branch Library has asked Historic City News to announce several upcoming public events at their branch located at 6670 US 1 South in St. Augustine.
Art Exhibit: – throughout March
The Society of Collage Artists are exhibiting their works at the Southeast Branch Library during the month of March. Collage has evolved from one piece of paper glued onto a painting into many types of mixed media and three dimensional assemblage. Collage has made a transition from traditional folk art to the realm of fine art to become the only new, well-defined visual art medium of the twentieth century. The public is invited to experience this twentieth century phenomenon free of charge at the Southeast Branch Library throughout the month of March.
Teen Karaoke Night! – Tuesday, March 10 at 6:00 pm
We’re celebrating Teen Tech Week, and this year’s theme is “Press Play @ Your Library”! Teens ages 12 to 18 are welcome to join us as we press play and sing along with some of today’s music.
Family Event: Florida Archaeology Month – Tuesday, March 17 at 6:00 pm
Corn Beef and Cabbage not your thing on St. Patrick’s Day? Kids of all ages are invited to join us to learn more about Florida’s natural history! It’s in the past and it’s a blast!
March Manga Madness – Thursday, March 19 at 5:00 pm
Are you mad about Manga? Teens ages 12 to 18 are welcome to join a discussion with special guest Juli Davis, a student at Florida State University.
Alligator Farm presents Reptile Rally – Tuesday, March 24 at 6:00 pm
Snakes Alive! And lizards and alligators, too! Join the St. Augustine Alligator Farm at the Southeast Branch Library to learn about these fascinating reptiles!
Dino-ROAR! – Tuesday, March 31 at 6:00 pm
Is your child interested in prehistoric beasties? Elementary school-aged children are invited to join Ms. Beth for a roarin’ good time! Dig for your own Florida fossils!
