More warrants – more arrests in PVB

Posted on 01/23/200901/23/2009 By Historic City News

Kevin Kelshaw reported to Historic City News this morning that four people were arrested at a Ponte Vedra Beach home following the execution of a search warrant Thursday afternoon.

Special Investigations Unit Detectives along with the Sheriff’s Office Community Emergency Team served the search warrant at 1:30 p.m. at 4815 Otter Creek La. in Sawgrass.

The homeowner, Eleanor Clements Weinstein, 42, was arrested on a charge of possession of less than 20 grams of cannabis when the substance was discovered inside her residence. Weinstein is being held in lieu of $1,500 bond.

Three other individuals were also arrested for outstanding warrants stemming from the investigation.

Samuel Steven Weinstein, 17, who lives in the house and Christina Allison Hale, 18, who resides at 5 Ladyfish Street in Ponte Vedra Beach, were each charged with one count of sale of a controlled substance and sale of cannabis.

Samuel Steven Weinstein, who is being charged as an adult, is being held in lieu of $50,000 bond.

Hale was released after posting a $30,000 bond.

Also arrested was Roland Bernard Rebstock Jr., 18, who resides at 8 Bonita Drive in Ponte Vedra Beach. Rebstock is charged with an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court on an unrelated incident.

The investigations that lead to the warrants and arrests yesterday began four months ago following numerous complaints of suspected drug activity at the Otter Creek residence.

Authorities say that Weinstein and Hale were involved when undercover officers conducted controlled purchases of cannabis and other narcotics at the residence.

This was the fourth search warrant in the past 30 days that resulted in ten drug related arrests in the Ponte Vedra Beach area.

Numerous other individuals in that area have been identified as using and selling drugs and additional arrests are anticipated as sheriff’s detectives continue their investigation.
