Page and Leubsdorf speak at Flagler forum

Journalists Susan Page and Carl Leubsdorf will be the next speakers for the 2009-2010 Flagler College Forum on Government and Public Policy according to an announcement received by Historic City News today.

Page and Leubsdorf will speak November 9th, at 7:00 p.m., in the Flagler College Auditorium. Their topic will be “One Year Later: How Barack Obama’s Election has Changed American Politics (And How it Hasn’t).”

Page is the Washington Bureau Chief for USA Today, where she writes about the White House and national politics. She has covered the last eight presidential elections and five White House administrations. She regularly guest hosts “The Diane Rehm Show” on NPR and appears on several broadcasts outlets as an analyst. She has won multiple major awards for her work.

Leubsdorf is a Washington columnist for The Dallas Morning News. He was the paper’s Washington Bureau Chief for 28 years. He also writes about the White House and national politics in his nationally syndicated column that has run every Thursday since 1981. In 2001, Washingtonian magazine named him one of Washington’s top 50 journalists.

All forums take place in the Flagler College Auditorium, 14 Granada St., at 7 p.m. Forums are free and open to the public, but seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign language interpreters are provided.
