Historic City News received a report that the St. Johns River Community College Phi Theta Kappa honor society recently held its fall induction ceremony.
The new members lit candles and recited their oath in front of family and friends at the St. Johns River Community College St. Augustine campus. A reception followed the induction ceremony.
The St. Augustine campus new chapter members are: Gretchen Brimigion, Terri Brimigion, Josephine Brown, James Canaday, Sierra Colman-Hersey, Vineesh Crawford, Rachel Danielson, Cara-Lynn Darling, Kimberly DeFord, Mark Dobies, Timothy Dowen Jr., Jessica Frick, Corey Giza, Michael Harrison, Ross Herring, Judy Kamys, Kelly Kappele-Merchant, Eric Kinnaly, Amanda Knight, Misty Lake, Renae Levor, Zachery Martin, Linda Masters, Melissa Maxwell, Kenneth Maxwell II, Christine McDaniel, Erin Murphy, Hannah Murray, Heather Newton, Leonard Osgood, Allison Owen, Kymberly Pasek, Michael Pawlukiewicz, Donna Riggs, Joshua Roberts, Crystal Runk, Peggy Shields, Daniel Smith, Mindy Spurlock, Cheryl Stanley, Sarah Thomas, Carol Toner, Katherine Towlsey, Alyssa Turner, Walter Vosburgh and Ardith Watkins.
To join Phi Theta Kappa, members must have completed 12 credit hours at a two-year institution and hold a 3.5 grade point average. The organization also promotes scholarships.
