St. Augustine Public Information Coordinator Cathy DuPont informed local Historic City News reporters today that the Treasure Coast Regional Planning Council will hold a public workshop to discuss potential train station locations.
As stakeholders and planners continue their evaluation of the potential for a future Amtrak station in St. Augustine, the location for that station is essential to the project’s success. All locations being evaluated necessarily include certain advantages and disadvantages.
The purpose of the public workshop will be to air findings and recommendations related to the draft station design as well as preliminary site selection in St. Augustine.
Historic City News readers are encouraged to attend and participate in the discussion when the workshop is held on Wednesday, June 16th at 11:00 a.m. in the Alcazar Room of St. Augustine City Hall located at 75 King Street.
The workshop is free and open to the public.
