Melissa Lundquist reported to Historic City News that St. Johns County is currently accepting applications for the following Board and Committee vacancies.

PLANNING AND ZONING AGENCY – One (1) Vacancy
Qualifications: Must be a registered voter in St Johns County. Members must file financial disclosure.
Meeting schedule: Meets on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 1:30 pm in the County Auditorium, 500 San Sebastian View.
Application Submission Deadline: March 1, 2010

INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY – One (1) Vacancy
Qualifications: Prefer representation from County Commission District 3. Must be a registered voter in St. Johns County. Members must file financial disclosure.
Meeting schedule: Meets as needed on the 2nd Monday of every month from 3-5 pm in the BCC Executive Board Conference Room, 500 San Sebastian View.
Application Submission Deadline: March 1, 2010

PONTE VEDRA ZONING & ADJUSTMENT BOARD – One (1) Vacancy
Qualifications: Must be a registered voter in St Johns County and reside in the Ponte Vedra Zoning District. Members must file financial disclosure.
Meeting schedule: Meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 3:00 pm in the County Auditorium, 500 San Sebastian View.

A1A SOUTH OVERLAY DISTRICT DESIGN REVIEW BOARD – Two (2) Vacancies
Qualifications: Must reside within the A1A South Overlay District, which extends from Owens Avenue south to the Flagler County line, east to the Atlantic Ocean and west to the Matanzas River.
Meeting schedule: Meets the 4th Thursday of each month at 2:30 pm in the Southeast Branch Library, 6670 US 1 South.
Application Submission Deadline: March 15, 2010

ADJUSTMENT & APPEALS BOARD
Four (4) Vacancies – Two (2) Alternate Positions
Qualifications: Seeking appointees with knowledge and/or experience in technical codes fields and those of the general public. Must be a registered voter in St. Johns County. Regular members serve a term of two years and alternates serve a term of one year. Members must file financial disclosure.
Meeting schedule: Meets on call as needed in Conference Room 1A/1B of the County Permit Center, 4040 Lewis Speedway.
Application Submission Deadline: April 2, 2010

HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES ADVISORY COUNCIL – Two (2) Vacancies
Qualifications: Members must be a registered voter in St. Johns County. The members shall be one (1) professional preferably from the disciplines of Health, Mental Health, Substance Abuse, or Social Services and one (1) at-large member, including but not limited to such compatible areas as business, banking and finance, education, law enforcement, religious community leaders, consumers and any other interested parties comprising the general public.
Meeting schedule: Meets on-call as needed during application review period and on the next to the last Thursday of each month at 4:30 pm in the Mental Health Conference Room, 1955 US 1 South.
