Top of the Town is the title of the show that features twenty local artists who gather twice a month to paint at outdoor locations. During the months of January and February the artists had the unique opportunity to view and paint the vistas of St Augustine from a high vantage point in 24 Cathedral Place. This building is the tallest building in St Augustine and home to the Wachovia Bank. It is located at the corner of Cathedral Place and Charlotte.Artists will be on hand to talk about their work. The hours of this opening reception during the First Friday Art Walk are 5 to 9pm. The exhibition will continue throughout March.

Alan Woolfolk, Flagler’s dean of academic affairs, will lecture on “Vertigo” on March 8. “Vertigo” is a 1958 American psychological thriller starring James Stewart, Kim Novak and Barbara Bel Geddes.
Flagler’s Director of General Education, Douglas McFarland, will lecture on “Blackmail” on March 9. “Blackmail” is a 1929 thriller/drama starring Anny Ondra and John Longden.
R. Barton Palmer will lecture on “Secret Agent” on March 10. Palmer is the Calhoun Lemon Professor of Literature and Director of Film Studies for Clemson University and author of “Alfred Hitchcock: Influence/Imitation/Intertextuality.” The film “Secret Agent” is a 1936 British film starring John Gielgud, Peter Lorre, Madeleine Carroll and Robert Young.
All of the “Critical Lens” lectures will be held at 7 p.m.
