Jeremy Robshaw, Public Information Officer with St. Johns County Fire Rescue, informed Historic City News local reporters that emergency personnel responded to a residential structure fire in Hastings on Saturday afternoon.
Robshaw said that the house was “heavily involved” with fire when units arrived on scene on Ashland Avenue. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
“People inside the home were evacuated before units arrived,” Robshaw said.
No one was injured during the fire.
“One person did seek assistance from the local American Red Cross for help getting essential items that were lost in the fire,” Robshaw said.
