Historic City News readers are encouraged to attend two upcoming public works sessions to learn more about construction and the associated road closures and resulting detours necessary over the next few months.
The first session will be conducted by the Florida Department of Transportation on July 28th from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the Alcazar Room at City Hall. Being discussed will be the King Street drainage project and West Castillo Drive sidewalk project.
Details of the discussion will focus on closing the eastbound lanes on King Street and possibly other road closures between September and December. The project was designed to cure frequent flooding in the Malaga and King Street areas.
On August 5th, from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. in the Alcazar Room, City of St. Augustine Public Works Department staff will hold an “open house” for Davis Shores residents to review utility projects continuing in that areas.
