Historic City News reporters have been informed that deputies responded to Hobby Lobby in the Riverside Centre located at 200 SR-312, just before 1:00 p.m. yesterday afternoon following an E-911 call from an 86-year old female victim stated that as she came out of the store the two male subjects approached her and one of them grabbed her purse.
Two black men are being sought in connection with the strong-armed robbery Wednesday afternoon.
The victim told deputies that she attempted to retain the purse, but one of the men snatched it from her grasp — causing the strap to tear. The two robbers fled the area on foot.
Both robbers were described as black males in their late teens to early 20’s.
One was wearing a black hat, teal colored shirt with a design on the front, white shorts with a dark stripe along both sides and sandal type shoes. He also appeared to have dreadlock style hair.
The second suspect was wearing a white tank top, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. He appeared to have a shaved head and no facial hair.
