Emergency Services and Homeless Coalition of St. Johns County announced to Historic City News that they will hold their annual community covered dish dinner at First United Methodist Church Thursday, November 18th, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
A proclamation has been issued by the city commission recognizing “as its highest priority the desire to help our community establish housing and services designed to assist homeless individuals and families in achieving permanent housing and self-sufficiency.”
The proclamation will be presented as part of National Hunger & Homeless Awareness Week at Thursday’s dinner which will welcome homeless and formerly homeless citizens as special guests.
