Letter: Commissioner trips to Spain

I’m very concerned with the appearance of sunshine violations as a result of four of our five city commissioners travel together and conducting city business in Spain.

I believe this to be very poor judgment and would urge them to carefully consider there represented position.

When I’m elected I will uphold our laws in all situations including those that are civic and social.

I applaud my opponent for not going on the trip, as Mayor Boles said, her decision was due to family reasons; however, I believe it demonstrates a fiscal conservatism on her part that is greatly needed.
