Letter to Editor: Suggestions for teachers

This coming week will be a tense one for Florida teachers, as we await Governor Crist’s decision.

Here’s an idea to ponder:

If you are in a school district where a sick-out is not possible, see if you can get your whole faculty, or at least a majority, to work to the rule this week.

Each morning, everyone get there exactly at the bell. And each afternoon, everyone walk out the door at the exact same time.

They cannot do a thing to you because you are not breaking your contract.

Also, let’s all try to wear black every day this week. (Most people have black, and remember, it’s a slimming color – lol).

This will only work if the majority buys in. OK?
