Public Information Officer Debra Johnson reported to Historic City News crime reporters that Flagler County Sheriff’s deputies in Palm Coast are searching for a man who committed an armed robbery yesterday.
The robber entered the Walgreens Liquor Store at 1109 Palm Coast Parkway northwest in Palm Coast around 5:30 p.m. Thursday and demanded money before fleeing with an undetermined amount of cash.
Deputies responded to the scene and set up a search area. Deputy Fred Smith and K-9 Arco tracked the suspect west toward Pine Cone Drive and Flagler County’s Fireflight helicopter conducted an aerial search of the area, but they were unable to locate the robber.
Suspect information describes the robber as a black male, 6 feet, two inches tall, 30 to 40 years-old , wearing a silver colored baseball cap with a round silver emblem. The suspect, who indicated he had a concealed gun, was wearing a mask of some type over his face.
“This occurred in what would normally be a busy time in the early evening, so we are hoping someone has information that would help us identify the suspect,” said Flagler County Sheriff Donald W. Fleming.
Anyone with information is being asked to contact the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division at (386) 586-4801
