Supervisor of Elections Penny Halyburton announced to Historic City News today that on Friday, the Canvassing Board will canvass provisional ballots cast in Tuesday’s General Election and that there are potentially two recounts in the offing — depending upon the Board’s results.
The Canvassing of provisional ballots and recounts are open to candidates, the press, and the public.
PENDING RECOUNTS
City of St. Augustine Beach, Seat 5 – Precinct 508
Marshall Creek Community Development Dist., Seat 1 – Precincts 112.1 & 112.2
The Canvassing Board will convene at 10 AM on Friday, November 5th to Canvass the Provisional Ballots cast in the November 2, 2010 General Election.
After the provisional ballots have been counted, a determination will be made by the Canvassing Board if any recounts are necessary for the above races/precincts. If recounts are necessary, they will be conducted immediately.
All Canvassing Board activities are held at the Supervisor of Elections Office, located at 4455 Avenue A, Suite 101, St. Augustine, FL 32095.
The Canvassing of provisional ballots and recounts are open to candidates, the press, and the public.
