Santa Claus told local Historic City News editor Michael Gold that he is calling the Plaza de la Constitution home this holiday season; taking up residence in the market and sharing plenty of good cheer.
Each evening, St. Nicholas and his helpers are in attendance inside the market and overlooking the fully illuminated Plaza and official holiday tree.
Excited children are eager to sit in Santa’s lap and be photographed as they whisper their Christmas wish list into the jolly old elf’s ear.
Many of the downtown shops and cafés are open extended hours during the Nights of Lights and evening parking is free in the City’s metered spaces.
