Historic City News has learned that this year’s edition of St. AugustineScapes will be held October 4th through 6th at the Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village, and will feature the “Best of the Best” photography instructors, workshops and locations.
The instructors will be Rick Sammon and Tim Grey, two people with worldwide reputations for outdoor photography excellence and who share a passion for teaching photography students at all levels of experience.
Rick Sammon has published 36 photography books and has been named a Canon Explorer of Light and Lexar Elite Photographer. Tim Grey is a member of the Photoshop World Dream Team of Instructors. When it comes to offering clear guidance on complex digital subjects, no one is better. Plus, the St. Augustine area has a multitude of locations that inspire stunning photography – brilliant sunrises over the Atlantic, colorful sunsets along the St. Johns River, towering sand dunes, the awe-inspiring architecture of Imperial Spain and much more!
The workshops featured in St. AugustineScapes offer opportunities to learn valuable photography skills from both Sammon and Grey. Among the subjects offered are: methods for cleaning up images; how to use HDR to transform traditional photographs into eye-popping images; how to market images; understanding the concept of accurate colors; understanding curves; and in-the-field workshops devoted to HDR, composition and painting with light.
Classroom sessions will be held at the Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village and are priced at only $99 per day or $149 for both days. Two field workshops are being offered at $129 each (limited to 15 participants).Each participant in the field workshops will have an opportunity to have one of his or her images published in a hardcover book that will be sent to them after the conclusion of St. AugustineScapes
