St. Augustine’s local news reporters at Historic City News have learned that over $3500 worth of property was stolen from Anastasia State Park over the weekend.
Suspects were able to enter seven (7) different unlocked vehicles during the night Saturday.
Items reported stolen included: purses, credit cards, ipods, easy readers, backpacks, cell phones, cameras, knives, and checkbooks.
About $700 worth of the stolen property was recovered near the campsites involved.
Community Affairs Officer Barbara Clifford of the St. Augustine Police Department reports that evidence was taken from the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
