A 24 year-old St. Augustine Beach man was arrested on an outstanding warrant yesterday afternoon and Historic City News local reporters have learned that he is now facing additional charges following a search of his residence.
Kristian Rodolfo Lopez who resides at 826 A1A Beach Boulevard, is charged with dealing in stolen property and sale of a Schedule II substance. Lopez is being held at the St. Johns County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $500,000.
Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit began the investigation last month when information was obtained that Lopez was allegedly selling a controlled substance.
Investigators say Lopez sold an undercover detective 12 Oxycodone pills.
An arrest warrant was obtained for Lopez and a search warrant for his residence. Both were served by Sheriff’s detectives on Thursday at 12:00 p.m.
Detectives located and seized numerous Schedule II pills, a Sony LCD television and a Nintendo Wii — all of which had been reported stolen. Also seized was assorted ammunition and cash.
Lopez faces additional charges of trafficking in Oxycodone, dealing in stolen property, and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.
The investigation is continuing.
