Local St. Augustine reporters have learned that three residences connected by a common parking area, are also connected as victims of recent burglaries in the area of Riberia Street and Carrera Street.
According to police reports provided to Historic City News today, officers responded to burglary calls from 29 Riberia Street, 29 1/2 Riberia Street, and 50 Carrera Street.
Upon arrival, Police Corporal Simpson made contact with the tenants at each address who told him that someone entered their residences, rifled through all their belongings and rummaged through their drawers.
Two flat screen televisions, two laptop computers, a video game system and a DVD player were all reported stolen in the burglaries.
Community Affairs Officer Barbara Stevens of the St. Augustine Police Department reports that evidence was collected and processed at all three scenes. The investigation is ongoing.
