Closed union and collective bargaining meeting
The City of St. Augustine reported to Historic City News that, in addition to their regularly scheduled public meeting on Monday, August 9, 2010, the City Commission will hold a private, non-public meeting — referred to as a “shade meeting”.

Engineers survey county beaches

Land Development Code controls campaign signs
In an update received by Historic City News today, St. Johns County Administrator Michael Wanchick reminded political candidates and their campaign supporters that the County Land Development Code regulates political campaign signs, including their placement, size, and removal.

Tentative millage rate approved
Historic City News reporters learned from County Administrator Michael D. Wanchick that his office recommended no millage increase for the 2011 budget — at their regular meeting Tuesday, the County Commission formally took the recommended action and adopted a tentative millage rate.
