Posted on 04/10/201104/12/2011 By Historic City News

Historic City News readers are encouraged to gather their families and head for the 16th Annual Flower and Garden Expo being held on Saturday, April 16th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, April 17th from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the St. Johns County Agricultural Center.

The Flower and Garden Expo next weekend will delight gardeners of all ages with growers, nurseries and artisans from around the state offering shoppers every item to make their garden all it can be. Everything needed to restart and enhance gardens will be available at the Expo.

This year’s show features a variety of vendors bringing a wide array of horticulture including tomato, pepper, eggplant starters, olive trees, African violets, anthuriums, bamboo, colorful flowering plants, butterfly plants, native plants and more plus gardening accessories and art.

Other popular features include the annual Flower and Horticulture show, presented by the Garden Club of St. Augustine, and the Piece Makers Guild quilt show. This year’s theme is “Timeless Beauty”.

Tickets are $5.00 for a two-day pass — children under 11 are admitted free. There is plenty of free parking on site. Food and beverages will be available for purchase both days.

To get to the Flower and Garden Expo from I-95, take exit #318, head west on SR-16, immediate left on CR-208, then take the next left on Agricultural Center Drive to the end of the road — 3125 Agricultural Center Drive.
