Robbery Homicide detective Charles Brantley reported to Historic City News that three unknown suspects are being sought in connection with a home invasion robbery that occurred early this morning.
Deputies responded to a residence in the 200 block of Vista Lagoon Court in Ponte Vedra Beach at 4:00 a.m. Tuesday morning when the 63 year-old female resident called E-911 to report that three assailants robbed her in her home.
The victim stated that she heard a noise in the living room at 3:30 a.m. and thought it could be her cat so she went to investigate. The victim walked into the living room to turn on a light when she sensed three large dark shadows in the room.
She told detectives that a man told her not to turn on any lights.
One of the robbers, armed with a handgun, demanded money and escorted the victim to the kitchen to retrieve her purse.
Another robber, armed with a rifle, escorted the victim to a bedroom where he removed a computer and printer.
The three criminals removed a large flat screen television from the living room and fled in an unknown type vehicle.
The robbers were described as black males dressed in black with black masks. A search of the area did not locate the suspects. The victim was not injured during the incident.
