The St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce announced to Historic City News that Debra Bulak has been named as its new membership manager and events coordinator for St. Augustine and St. Johns County.
In her role, Bulak is dedicated to increasing the Chamber’s membership including the recruitment of new members and the retention of existing members. She will also manage the Chamber’s numerous special events.
“We are excited to have Debra join our team and lead the Chamber’s membership efforts,” said Kirk Wendland, president of the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce. “Her years of experience combined with her passion for engaging members and volunteers make her a vital asset to the Chamber and its constituency.”
A native of St. Johns County, Bulak previously served as director of events for a national, professional industry organization, producing and marketing large events nationwide. More recently, she held the position of general manager at the St. Augustine Yacht Club.
Bulak is a volunteer leader for Romanza, a not-for-profit organization that produces an annualmulti-day, multi-arts celebration in historic downtown St. Augustine.
“I am excited to serve my community with the Chamber and provide opportunities to help businesses network, learn and grow,” Bulak said. “My goal at the Chamber is to foster a culture that promotes member involvement.”
