At the City of St. Augustine commission meeting held May 25th, the Human Resources department was recognized for earning a “Gold Award” in the “2011 First Coast Healthiest Companies” competition; sponsored by First Coast Worksite Wellness Council.
Donna Haynes, Human Resources Coordinator, spearheaded the “Wellness Passport” program; helping participating employees to keep track of increases in their physical activity.
Employees were competing not only within their own department, but also with other departments in an effort to improve their overall health.
Also recognized by the commission for their continuing efforts were Human Resources Manager, Nancy Rawson, and Human Resources Technician, Dianne Jacobs.
The council is an initiative of the community organization Healthy Jacksonville, and its mission is to improve the health of the First Coast community by sharing resources and providing guidance through member businesses.
