Historic City News local reporters were informed today that Firefighter Paramedic Justin Estes was selected by the Awards Committee as the Paramedic of the Year for 2010 based on nominations received from their peers.
During his time with St. Johns County Fire Rescue, Justin has consistently demonstrated an outstanding work ethic and unwavering positive attitude towards both fellow personnel and citizens in the community.
Justin supports the Department through several additional duties including:
Special Operations Team member
Advanced Life Support Competition Team member
Volunteer for Children’s Cancer Research programs
Justin’s efforts, energy and expertise have increased the Departments overall capabilities.
He exemplifies the selfless and caring image that the public associates with members of the fire service.
According to Lt. Isaac Frazier, “It isn’t just one call that makes a Paramedic of the Year; it’s the dedication and pride they show every shift when they think nobody is watching.”
