Laurie Sanderson reported the following St. Augustine and St. Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
Interstate 95 at International Golf Parkway:Possible nighttime lane closures on the entrance and exit ramps to Interstate 95 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Tuesday, January 3 and Wednesday, January 4 to accommodate paving operations.
State Road 16 from the Clay County line to San Marco Avenue: Daytime lane closures Tuesday, January 3 through Thursday, January 5 while crews repaint the roadway markings.
State Road 207 at County Road 305: Possible daytime lane closures Tuesday, January 3 through Friday, January 6 for delivery of equipment and materials to construct a multi-use trail from the end of the existing trail to Armstrong Road.
State Road 312 at Sgt. Tutten Drive and at Plantation Island Drive (Harbour Island Community):Possible daytime lane closures in both directions from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 3 through Friday, January 6 to install poles for new traffic signals.
State Road A1A – Summer Haven Bridges (just north of Marineland): Daytime lane closures at the south bridge from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, January 3 through Saturday, January 7 to install expansion joint material in the bridge deck. Motorists should drive with caution through the construction area. The speed limit in this area has been reduced to 40 mph.
State Road A1A from the Flagler County line to Avenida Menendez: Daytime lane closures Tuesday, January 3 through Thursday, January 5 while crews repaint the roadway markings, excluding the construction zone in Summer Haven.
US 1 from State Road 16 to the Duval County line: Daytime lane closures Tuesday, January 3 through Thursday, January 5 while crews repaint the roadway markings.
US 1 at the San Sebastian River Bridge from Saragossa Street to King Street: Possible nighttime lane closures from 7:30 p.m. to 6 a.m. in both directions Tuesday, January 3 through Friday, January 6.
US 1 at Vaill Point Road: One northbound lane is closed as well as the entrance to Vaill Point Road from US 1 while crews for St. Johns County replace a pipe on the east side of the Moultrie Creek Bridge. These closures are expected to continue until mid-January 2012. For more information, contact James Overton with the St. Johns County Utility Department.
