The local Sea Oats chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society reported to the news desk at Historic City News that their February meeting will include a program entitled “An update on new pests in our landscapes”.
The organization will meet at 7:00 p.m. on February 15th at the St. Augustine Beach City Hall.
Chuck Lippi, retired University of Florida Extension Director, is one of only 8 Board Certified Master Arborists in the state of Florida. Since 2004, Lippi has been the Consulting Arborist for St. Augustine.
“This guy knows trees,” Renee Stambaugh, Sea Oats chapter President told Historic City News. “He will give us an update on new pests in our landscapes, what we’ve done to encourage them and what we can do to control them.”
The program is free, open to the public and includes prizes of native plants.
