Historic City News readers are invited to join First America Foundation, Inc. on Wednesday, when they uncover the foundation’s new website and logo at the St. Johns County Council on Aging River House.
Executive Director Jamie Alvarez said, “We’re excited to have the St. Augustine community come out and join us for this exciting event.”
The unveiling is scheduled from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on March 23rd, at the River House; located at 179 Marine Street in St. Augustine. Presentations of the logo and website will occur every half hour, starting on the hour.
Guests Wednesday will have the opportunity to hear more about multi-year events that will be observed during 2012-2015 as well as meet many of the wonderful people who are dedicated to making these anniversaries memorable during the course of the next four years.
The new foundation website (www.myfirstamerica.org) promises to give a “concise look” at the work of the foundation and introduce the foundation’s honorary board, board directors and staff. Alvarez announced that the website will offer a link to the foundation’s strategic plan.
Alvarez says that this will be a “family-friendly” educational event, with ongoing activities for children and students including a “photo opportunity” with Pedro Menendez in front of the Foundation logo screen.
